Students will be given a high-level overview of MassHealth's financial requirements so MassHealth, not the family, pays the long-term care nursing home bill. From that foundation, the following powerful tools will be discussed in detail: The Irrevocable Trust, the Caregiver Child Exception, the Adult Disabled Child Exception, the Medicaid Qualified Annuity, Pooled Trusts, and Long-Term Care Insurance. Attorney Jackson will explain the benefits and limitations for each tool. Attorney Jackson invites and encourages questions throughout the course.
